Colorado Springs, CO – Fountain Valley School of Colorado is a private, co-educational independent college prep school for students in grades 9-12. The school’s primary campus is located on 1,100 acres of rolling prairie at the base of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado Springs. As part of a large-scale athletic training center development project in 2018, Futurist Climbing was hired to design a state-of-the-art climbing and training facility for the school’s student body, including its highly-ranked youth climbing team. The new Julie and Spencer Penrose Athletic Center now boasts a 6,000-sf climbing gym with 37-ft lead walls, auto belays, a sick bouldering area with an integrated Tension Board and a campus board. The walls were built by Leading Edge Climbing Walls, with flooring by Futurist.
