New Orleans, LA – The New Orleans Boulder Lounge (NOBL) is located in a beautiful historic building built in the late 1800s which was originally used as a cotton press. Futurist designed the facility layout and climbing walls, built by Leading Edge, and also provided 14″ custom bouldering flooring. The NOBL team was very engaged in the design process with us and we’re all very proud of the end result.
From the NOBL team – “The inspiration for NOBL was to combine our favorite things in climbing and New Orleans. The city has been in need of a place to climb and a home for the climbing community for too long, so solving that was the first thing to accomplish. Beyond building climbing walls, we wanted to make sure the gym fit New Orleans and was welcoming and accessible to the people here. That’s where the lounge idea comes in. It’s a place to hang out, see friend, experience culture and new ideas, and not take life or climbing too seriously. I like to describe the NOBL model as a climbing gym with a coffee shop vibe.”
